Merry Christmas!!

MERRY CHRISTMAS!!! I can't its two days after Christmas already! I can't believe it almost 2018 either! Anyway, since it's still the Christmas season I am going to share some of my families tradition and some of the gifts I received!

Traditions:
~Every year we make Christmas candy with festive music on. This year we made chocolate and white  chocolate haystacks, peppermint/cherry crack candy, puppy chow (a.k.a. muddy buddies), cake batter puppy chow, and peanut butter balls. Other years we've also made peanut clusters, chocolate covered raisins, or other treats.
~We take a day to take down fall and thanksgiving decorations and put up all of our Christmas decorations. If we have cut our tree we decorate it too!
~I begin playing lots of Christmas music!
~I go shopping like mad, and wrap up them gifts so it's all organized and done right away. OCD Christmas to do listing right here!

Here is a list of some of my gifts I received and who I got them from:
~A movie night theme candy/popcorn basket- from my Grandma

SAMME UPDATE~

Okay, so the chiropractor came out on Thursday night, and found out a LOT! Samme had very little flexibility in her poll (for non-horse people: the ball and socket joint where the head fits into the spine, which allows head movement). Which means when ever she moved her skull it cause her extreme pain. Samme had something wrong in her withers (where the saddle sits) and on the right side of her hip. Any time the chiropractor lightly pet over either her withers or hip she would flinch.

Anyway, the chiropractor fixed everything. Samme has to have a check-up in 6-8 weeks again to make sure everything is fully fixed. I was actually able to get on Samme for this first time in 6 weeks on Sunday! I had to test getting on her for awhile but I was able to walk around a little bit! I didn't want to over do it as the chiropractor said to take it very easy. But, Samme is on her way to recovery!!!

And Sara decided to give me a present... so here it is!

"SIBLING SARA WAS HERE WHILE MISTY LEFT!! HAHAHA ^~^
VOLTRROOOOONNNNNNNNN LEGENDARY DEFENDER IS AMAZINNGGG WATCH SEASON 4 ON NETFLIX NOOOWWW!!! Does Hunk finally get a space taco planet?  Is Space dad Shiro really 6 and a half years old, born on leap year? Are Galra furries officially confirmed?! Is Pidge really a fidget spinner?  Is our beloved Keith turning into an actual furrie too!? Stay tuned to Voltron Legendary Defender Season 4 on Netflix to find out!!! Remember kids, use your Gak wisely, not on earth video games; as we have learned, the Castle of Lions has no plug-ins, USB ports, NOTHING! Unless you are Pidge and can use a bunch, and i mean a BUNCH of space technology to make a circuit to get electricity through, your wasting time, energy, and Gak. "

Thanks for reading and hope have a great day!!!!

Recent Sewing Projects!!

Samme is a this moment injured, were not sure whats wrong yet; the chiropractor is coming out on Thursday to hopefully give us some answers! So anyway, once I know whats wrong I will post an update/full information asap!
Anywho... Samme now has had her horse blanket on for a little over a month now to keep her hair shorter so I don't pull it when I cinch her up to ride in the winter. When I got it it already had quite a few rips as it was a hand-me-down blanket. So, I took the plunge and got to patching it up..... by hand!!!! If y'all don't know I have TERRIBLE wrists so it was all done with a brace and lots of breaks!!! I have multiple stabs with the needle as horse blanket are thick, so are the jeans I used to patch the giant holes. And I was using fishing line to make it EXTRA durable. Here are some pictures of the process.

As you can see I was not exaggerating by any means! There was a lot of work to be done but it is now 100% done!!! YAYAYAYYA. But, my wrists were shot for the next 3 days...

Okay, now for the fun project!!! In May of this year I decided to make a ball gown from the civil war era. Quite the feat as I found out. So, after putting it off for most of the summer and beginning of the school year I finally sat down and did it. I had it all cut out and darted and pinned before June so the hard part for me was over. I can officially say the bodice (and for all non-sewers/me: the top half) and the bottom layer of skirt is done! I don't have any pictures yet but as soon as its done enough to try on I will have some pictures. Promise!
I hope you enjoyed the second... (wow, breaking records here) post of the day! Have an awesome day y'all!

Christmas Decorating!!

The day after Thanksgiving we are officially aloud to sing Christmas music!!! Now, of course, the rebel I am, I've already been singing them since the beginning of November when we started Christmas piano music!! So this last Saturday we went and got our tree with our family friends! After about 10 minutes of searching we found one but we decided to keep looking just in case and it turned out the first one was the one!!
And here are the pictures of our tree finished along with the rest of our house!!

So that is the decorations in our house! I will have a second post coming soon of my most recent projects!!! Hope you enjoyed this shorter post!

Butch~ November 3, 2017

Some of you may know I had a dog, and I his name is Butch. We found out three weeks ago that he had a rare type of lymphoma skin cancer... which was not treatable and would go from okay to disastrous in the blink of an eye. We had thought he had allergies as he was ripping out his fur and skin because of irritation; but it wasn't allergy irritation, it was the cancer. We loved our dog so much, that we didn't want to see him suffer. My parents made the appointment to have him put down and until the appointment he was put on a high dosage of medication to slow down the cancer and prevent pain. (no, the medication was not a long term option) The day before was really hard as he had no more medication and you could see how quickly he fell. November 3, 2017 is the day we buried our puppy on our land. He was 12 years old and we had had him since 2008. I was only 5 and I don't really remember a time without him. He will forever have a special place in my heart and I will show some pictures that I have of him.

He was an amazing puppy.
This is the day we found out about his cancer

You can see the difference in his fur from the previous pictures to the last 5 pictures...

He was the most loyal and fun pet any family could ask for. You never realize how much you love something or someone until its gone. Never take someone or something for granted... always say I love you and tell them how much you appreciate them. I love you Butch <3. I always will.

Thank you for reading. Have an amazing and blessed day.

Washington D.C. Vacation

Our (Myself, Mom, Dad, Sara, and Emmett's) journey began on September 10, 2017; we left for Washington D.C.. We traveled for most of the afternoon and into the later hours of the night and stopped at Shipshewana, Indiana for the night. We left early the next morning and arrived at our rental condo in Falls Church, Virginia later that evening.

September 12, 2017: No one in my family has EVER used public transportation; so when we arrive at the train station and we finally get our metro passes... it's no wonder we almost get separated day one, an hour in! Yes, Sara and I get on the train and all the sudden, as mom is walking through the doors (WITH EMMETT) they close shut on her and are smashing her and Emmett! And you would think that when people on the train try pushing the doors open they'd open up like an elevator right? WRONG! Sara and I barely escaped with our lives off that train! Anyway, we ate lunch at an outrageously expensive food cart before our tour started at... *dunahnah* the WHITE HOUSE!!! Yes, we went to the White House; it was a very beautiful building and it was amazing to see it in person!! One of the rooms was so large you could fit four trampolines in it!! Later on we visited the CAPITOL for another tour. While we were there we got to see the VICE-PRESIDENT of the United States! I mean, who visits the capitol and actually gets to see someone who is SUPER important, who is 10 feet away from you?!?! The capitol had so many statues in it of important people, beautiful paintings, and carvings!

September 13, 2017: Today we went to Arlington Cemetery and we seen the burial place of the Kennedy family. I have never seen so many graves... everywhere you looked there were rows upon rows of graves. I am so thankful to those who gave their lives for our freedom and safety; I will never forget Arlington Cemetery. We also got to see the Tomb of the Unknown Soldier and the guard change. After, we walked all the way across the Potomac River to the Lincoln Memorial and the Vietnam Memorial Wall. We ate late lunch at Penn Grill. We wanted to visit the Iwo Jima memorial and walked there to discover they are renovating it and it's not open; so we went to the Netherlands Carillon because it was just up the road.

September 14, 2017: We toured the LIBRARY OF CONGRESS today!! It was so amazing, we couldn't actually go into the library because you have to be 16 and have a legitimate reason for being in there. For the remainder of they day was walked around the National Mall and stopped at the Washington Monument and the WWII memorial. We stayed until dark and seen the Lincoln Memorial, WWII memorial, and the Washington monument lit up at night.

September 15, 2017: Today we ate lunch at a farmers market and went to the National Museum of Natural History. It was very cool and fascinating!! We even got to go into a butterfly pavilion and have loads of butterflies land on us!

September 16, 2017: We began by going to the National Archives building and seeing the Deceleration of Independence, the Bill of Rights, and the U.S. Constitution. We then went to the National Museum of American History and visited the wars section and learned about our nations wars. Then, we got Ice Cream! Finally, we went to the Holocaust Museum. IF you don't know what the Holocaust Museum is it is a memorial on WWII and the people involved, it tells the background of Hitler and his rising in power, what was inflicted upon the people in the concentration camps and so much more. It was very hard to learn about this as this was such a terrible event. Terrible isn't even the right word to describe it...

September 17, 2017: Today we drove to New York City, we did not actually go into N.Y.C., we stayed on the New Jersey side of the river. We got to see Ellis Island and the Statue of Liberty!! It was really cool!!

September 18-19, 2017: We made our trek back home!

And that was my vacation to D.C. in a LARGE nutshell!!! I hope you enjoyed and have a great day!

Vacation Haul~

I was on VACATION!!! (With my family, of course) Yes, it seems I forgot to mention I was going to WASHINGTON D.C.; but this is not the time to tell this *tale*, for this is a mini haul of all the souvenirs I probably over paid for *coughs*. Here they are:

First off, a METRO CARD! Why is this of importance you may ask? Well, we took public transit the ENTIRE vacation! And Sara and I almost died.... but you will have to wait to hear the story *evil grins* mwahh... lol

I got a Washington D.C. zip-up hoodie from a sketchy street vendor... and they didn't even spell CAPITOL CORRECT!!!!!! But it's okay! For the price we paid it is okay :P lol

This is a quill pen calligraphy pen!!! I love calligraphy and I've wanted a quill pen for a while so I got one!!!! This is from the capitol of the UNITED STATES!!!

I got some Mousse for my WILD hair because somebody *ahem* didn't pack any.

I got some stationary... I couldn't help myself... I just couldn't! But it's so beautiful!! Btw it's from the  Target dollar section.

I got some of the friction color changing pencils and a beautiful butterfly pen from the National Museum of Natural History.

Then I got a poster of the Constitution from the National Archives!!!!

This is all the souvenirs I got! Expect a post with ALL the details of my vacation coming soon... *WARNING* it will be very long!!! Thanks for reading!

I'm BACK!!!

I am very sorry for my absence from the internet; but that means I have lots of NEWS!!! I'm not even sure where to start!!! This will NOT be in chronological order because I don't remember the exact order of how everything happened... #forgetful

I ran an obstacle course race with Sara (my sister) on July 15th! It was really fun and enjoyable considering we didn't train..... at all..... he..he.

I went to 4-H camp!!!! It was so fun! Especially because we got to sleep in tents away from the cabins and did some fun stuff after campers had lights out... The only bad thing was the leech infestation and the swimmers itch that graced its appearance! I didn't get it but that's because I didn't itch it like a certain sister did... ahem. Other than that it was GREAT! We enjoyed lots of hikes, activities, swimming, and water balloon fights between us counselors! It was even more enjoyable to watch the left over water from the buckets get dumped on someones head.... endless it was mine... speaking of... I didn't know there was C.I.T. INITIATION!!! It was fun and SO COLD!!!!!

This is the biggest news for this post. I am officially apart of the High School Volleyball team! Because of our governor I can be apart of the team without going to public school. Which is nice because I can do sports and not have to stop home schooling!

I started school on the 21st of August. I am officially a freshman! It's so weird/different! It's harder... by far but it's not bad. There is just a lot more reading... and I neevver fall asleep reading school...

I entered my 4-H projects into the fair this weekend and got almost all firsts! I brought photography, foods and nutrition, crocheting, and sewing.

Finally, I had a photo-shoot with Samme (my horse)! Here are some of the pictures!!! These were taken by Copper Arrow Photography!!! They turned out so beautiful!! I will cherish these forever!!

That has been my crazy life! I also have volleyball practice everyday so that makes it CRAZIER! I have a whole list of ideas for more blog posts that will hopefully be up in the next few weeks!!! Thanks for reading! Have a fabulous day!

4th of July!!!

First off, HELLO!
I had so much fun this 4th of July weekend. I took a beautiful trail ride with Samme, enjoyed the fireworks, and spent time with family and friends!

On Sunday I took a trail ride with Samme, and took a bunch of pictures that I might use for 4-H; and I'm going to share them with you!!!
Mulberry Trees

The River :)
It was a great ride. Only bad thing was she has never been in running water.... so when she FINALLY, finally went in she pretty much JUMPED across.... it was actually kind of funny!

On Monday we went to our town's firework show. I got to spend a bunch of time with my friends; and my family! Here is a small clip of the fireworks.
In case the video doesn't work: https://youtu.be/9z054PkYDeg

The firework show was GREAT!!! I really enjoyed it. Emmett slept through the entire thing!!! It was cute! Emmett now says "mama" and "dada." And my nickname is "baba;" but it is totally not because it is a sound he makes often.

Sorry there is not much writing.... but I hope you enjoyed reading! Have an amazing day!

June Wrap-Up!

HI! Sorry I didn't really post this month. I didn't know what to post, so I figured a wrap-up would be cool! If you want me to do this every month let me know.

Any way lets start at the beginning of the month. I had my first ballet recital; and I don't think I did half-bad! Here is a picture of us posing... I had no idea how to stand so... yeah!

I had a mini photo shoot with Emmett in my front yard! To be honest this is one of MANY photo shoots through out this month; we have LOTS of photo shoots...
The sun was in his eyes :(

My favorite!!!!
I had a REALLY fun sleepover with my friend Micayla this month too!!

Something happened this month... I kinda... sprained my finger! It's better now, it only hurts if I jar it... which happens a lot! But, on the happy side... the lease is 100% signed and sealed for Samme :) I also work at the barn where I lease her! It's really fun working with all the animals!!

We went camping for the first time this year!!!! We had pudgy pies, hot dogs, and s'mores. The camping trip was at our farm and included our family and Micayla, her sister Megan, and their mom :) Some of our other friends came for supper over the fire! Us kids went down to our creek and waded in the water! And we play with the kittens... and we played VOLLEYBALL!!! We even had a mini fireworks show! It was really fun!

Now we are up to today! I got up and had a delish breakfast.... with amazing photography.. right?

Yes, my sister and I had hot chocolate in the middle of summer... but it's SO cold right now! Well, honestly.... I would have had it if it was 90 degrees anyway! :P It's only been like 60 degrees! We've just been having this major cold front!!!!! It should be warmer by the end of this week hopefully!

My life still consists of Science and English, as I'm a little behind... but it's okay cause I would have done something over the summer any way so I don't feel DUMB at the beginning of my FRESHMEN year!! YES!!! I can't believe I'm already going into high-school! It's crazy (right?!?)
Well, that was my month.... I think I remembered everything! Thanks for reading! Have a  great and blessed day ;)
