February 2019...

Well, obviously I have aced skipping blog posts. I am a professional at forgetting/putting things off, soooo. School has been consuming my life along with other things like this years musical. But, lets move on from that and recap on the last few months.

The biggest news is that my family is growing to 6. My mom is due in mid June. And did I mention... its a GIRL!! I'm so excited to meet her and I can't wait to make so many cute things for her!

I got my temps in November and a car!!! I had been waiting for EVER it felt like for my temps.
We had a successful hunting season this year. Well, I didn't, but our family in general did. I only had one deer come in by me and I missed. It happens I guess. xD

Christmas was great as always! We actually got some decor for the front of our house including some candy canes in red and green and some icicle lights. I got lots of fuzzy socks for Christmas this year; seriously I got 11 pair. I'm not complaining at all though because my toes have never been warmer. I think I actually own more fuzzy socks that regular socks : /
I also got some amazing horse themed gifts (e.g. shirt, socks, and mug); some Bible journal supplies; Zelda Ocarina of Time (3DS); and a Polaroid camera. I also got a few other things as well.

I've preoccupied my weekends with ice skating again this year. I swear, if I could ice skate everyday I probably would. I just love it that much!

When new years rolled around I obviously fell asleep way before we could watch the ball drop *again* but I did wake up for midnight! And since then my life has been full of school and play practice. Our production is the musical "Pilgrim" based of the book Pilgrims Progress. Opening night is in 12 days sooo.     yeah.      lots to do and get ahead for.

In March we are going on vacation to FLORIDA!!! I super excited! Our only plans are the beach. On our way back we are stopping at a resort in Tennessee too. It's right in the mountains so it will be super cool.

I think that catches up the little bit of excitement in my life.... It ain't much... I didn't realize how little I've done since Christmas. Thanks for reading :)

hello. where has the time gone...

ohh boyy.... well first off, HELLO! Long time no post. The time has just gotten away from me over these past few months! And a lot has been going on! I don't even know where to start!
In May we actually went on vacation to CALIFORNIA! I was going to make a separate post for this, but I'll just summarize it here. We left the day after prom and made our road trip out west. We made a big loop through the north-western states down through Nevada, Utah, Nebraska, and Iowa back to Wisconsin. We stopped at Yellowstone, the Redwood forests, Fern Canyon and a lot of other national monuments and parks. We also went to Mount Rushmore and the Badlands!! It was an awesome vacation!! Here are some pictures of some of my favorite parts of the trip AND of the Pacific Ocean!

Theodore Nat'l Park, ND

Yellowstone- Buffalo!!

Yellowstone- Emmett and Dad by the waterfalls

Yellowstone- The Lake with Sara and the Rocky Mountains in the back!!
Crater Lake

Giant Redwood

Fern Canyon

The seashore

Dad and Emmett In the OCEAN!!
Mount Rushmore!!

*sigh* the badlands... oh I miss 'em

I also got my first job this summer, in June, working at our local Strawberry farm!! It was actually quite fun! I was an Assistant Counselor at 4-H camp this year as well. 4-H camp was a blast just like last year!!

I actually took Samme to our first fun show where I competed in Barrel racing, poles, the flag race, keyhole, and plug. We didn't place but it was a really good experience and I plan on doing some shows again next year!

I am also doing volleyball with the high school this year again. I made JV1, but sadly our season is already almost over!! We only have three games and a tournament left! :(

Fair also happened. It went pretty well! I brought my civil war ballgown and a skirt and took 2nd for both! I brought some food and took three 1st's and one 2nd. I brought some visual arts projects and photography too. I also did archery again this year and took 4th place in the tournament!

I also somehow got a SUPER severe case of E-coli and they thought my kidney's were going to fail.... I could barely get out of bed to go to the restroom (which conveniently I needed 24/7) I am better now luckily thanks to God and the prayers from everyone!!

Ohh yeah... did I meantion that I'm a sophmore... I thought last year shocked me but this year really hit me like a load of bricks!

I think that has almost caught me up. Ohh... and a post on Emmett's second birthday is coming very soon!!! I can't believe he's two!! Until then.

prom 2018.

Two weeks ago we had our home school prom! I was one of the nine prom committee members this year. Our theme was... CLUE! We had the entire building we rented set-up as a "clue board" with props distinguishing each room. To go with the theme we had a real mystery where everyone was playing clue in real life trying to figure out who murdered Miss Body, and later Miss White. The characters were as follows with the committee members who played them: Miss Body- Micayla ;
Miss Scarlet- Marie ; Miss Green- Maddie ; Professor Plum- Gabe ; Miss Karat- Josephine ; Agent Black- Buddy ; Miss White- Juli ; Miss Sterling- Naomi ; Miss Peacock-Myself.

It was such an amazing night and it was the perfect weather, although mosquitoes tried carrying most of us away... it was a blast and I had so much fun! I got ready with my two friends Makenna and Emma (who just happens to have an awesome blog right over here- Aspiring To Be). Sarah also came this year (last years post) but had a commitment that ran into part of prom, but she still was able to make it for a couple hours! And, as we all know I'm sorta clumsy; and being the *amazing* person I am, literally went head over heels and face-planted.       yup.      i did.     not kidding at all.    and it was 100% NOT graceful. *applause for effort* Next year I'm getting a little bit shorter dress. Black and blue knees from face-planting are not worth the perfect dress. (or are they?!)

Anyway, here are the long awaited pictures of our dresses and of the night!

Emmett and Dad! Lil' Bro being adorable!!

Makenna in her beautiful dress!

Emma and her converse!

Myself being a little teapot!

Group photo in our yard using out neighbors tree... lol

Micayla's (Miss Boddy) "dead body"

Being goofy at the photo booth ft. Emma

Meet Mrs.Green (Maddie) and Mr. Green!

Miss Peacock(Me) and Miss Scarlet (Marie)

Miss Karat (Joesphine) and Myself

Emma and her beautiful self

Myself... doing something weird...

Sarah in her beautiful dress!!

And Sarah's sister Caroline. What a cutie.

Nearing the end of prom we discovered another dead body... Miss White. And we soon discovered the murderer could no longer hide HIS tracks. It was... PROFESSOR PLUM with the wrench! Now the best part is... Prof.Plum is Miss.White's brother in real life. I totally did not give him grief about killing his sister.

I hope you enjoyed this post! What is your most embarrassing moment at any dance? Are you clumsy like your's truly?

we adopted five bunnies.

This happened sometime last month but I forgot to post it!
I had FIVE bunnies! It was only for half and hour, but I had bunnies!!! So basically five baby bunnies were buried under the snow under our kitchen window, right next to our exhaust vent... There have been MANY fox sightings for the last couple of months and then we didn't see any bunnies in our yard for a couple days which was odd. So we decided to move the bunnies as their mom was dead to our understanding. They were self sustaining as they were eating all of my mothers tulip buds... so we spent some time with them and of course we named them... Their names were Daisy, Jack, Angela, Muffin, and Will! Daisy and Jack were the two I named! Here are a bunch of pictures that we took. This was the best thing EVER! They are in a new home and all together.

Daisy!!!
Top- Daisy; Bottom- Jack

Thanks for reading! Have you ever rescued or "adopted" any animals? If so what were they and what did you name them?? Have an awesome day!!

another year and a record snow storm.

I am officially fifteen...  yep... another thing to remember when I fill out forms *sheepish grin*  Anyway, the point of this post is to share what I did for my birthday! So, if you live in Wisconsin, you know we had a blizzard this last weekend. Yes, I know it's basically the middle of April, but I'm not sure if God got the memo. haha, just kidding. Seriously though, we got 33ish inches of snow, in three days... with some of the snow drifts at 4 or 5 feet. Enough said, I'm getting cold.

So I had a joined birthday party with the lovely Emma *check out her blog- Aspiring to Be* and it turned out sooo great. Of course a bunch of people were not able to make it due to the weather but it was still really fun! Unfortunately... I don't think either of us took ANY pictures! So that means you'll just have to simply imagine it! Emma made some delicious looking pizza garland and she did an awesome job on it! We put it by the pizza bar; Emma's mom made homemade pizza crust and we made a bunch of delicious pizzas. My mom, Sara, and I made ice cream garland for the ice cream table! We had LOADS of toppings to go with our ice cream!! We played some games, and I learned how to play Mafia; lets just say I was a little confused but I think I understand how to play now, and it was pretty funny.

Sarah (not my sister) was the doughnut man and she was delivering doughnuts and got stabbed and a doctor saw and ran to her. Sara (my sister) saw while riding her bike and ran into a car so the doctor veered to Sara and saved her instead of Sarah. Love it.

Finally, we watched the Greatest Showman; and it was AMAZING! That's it, AMAZING! I've been listening to the soundtrack non stop!!!

On my birthday we didn't do much. We watched some movies, including the Greatest Showman...again, and the Chronicles of Narnia for the first time (that I remember)! We played a couple games and just spent the day together as a family! I'd rather spend the day trapped at home with my family than having a busy day!

That's what I did for my birthday! I hope you enjoyed this post! When's your birthday?? Have a great day!     Always,

a sneak peek into my crazy life.

Yes, I've hit the ALWAYS SUPER BUSY point of the year with spring pretty much here and with only having 6 WEEKS, I repeat, 6 WEEKS left of school... I'm super swamped! So I'm going to share my crazy "getting-up-to's" with y'all! #greathomemadewords

So if you did not know I am in a musical with our home school group, The Lady Pirates of Captain Bree! I am an Irish Pirate who goes by the name of Patty! Here are the details if you want to see it! Dates: April 20, 21, 22; 2018 at 7pm on the 20 and 21 and at 2pm on the 22! It's at the Clintonville Public High School Auditorium and it's FREE!

As I said I am on the home stretch of my freshman year of high school! And honestly... I'm kinda ready for the summer break! I am the kid who cried when school was over... and who does something for school every summer... so this is huge for me!

I'm an Air Conditioner at 4-H camp this year! a.k.a. Assistant Counselor. I'm with the second to eldest group (6) this year and I'm really getting excited! Except for the fact of playing gaga ball... 24/7.... for 5 days.... *face palm* Don't get me wrong it's a fun game and all... but you get sick of it when that's all the kids want to do...

I asked Nevaeh(my little cousin) if she wanted to play a game and she said she wanted to play candyland. I pull out the board and we pick our characters: Backpack(me), Dora(Nevaeh), and Boots(mom)! Our Diego is unfortunately extremely chewed up... not sure how that happened but anyway.

Obviously Nevaeh won because she got the ice cream cone *and cheated her way to victory in my opinion* but it was fun to play!

And I am pleased to say the Samme is just about up to her best again! I am finally able to lightly canter her again!! AND... We took our first trail ride of the season this week! We actually got two in but now... Wisconsin is being ever so gracious as to bestow more snow upon us... we literally got at least 7 inches or more....Back the indoor for riding

And finally, here are some pictures I took this week while I was at the barn!
On the left is Samme, the charming fella here is Ducati and the black blob on the right is Dude. :)
This is my favorite photo I took! This is Samme
And this is Ducati!
When do you get done with school? What are your plans for the summer? Do you want some posts or even vlogs of stuff at the barn? If so what do you wan to see? Let me know in the  comments. Thank you so much for reading! I hope you have an awesome day!

Valentine's Day... again

Happy Valentine's Day! In 3 days! So as some of y'all may know I could take or leave Valentine's day... but I do love the candy, just not the chocolate unless it's white... I know I'm weird for not liking chocolate, but it's just not for me. I can eat some but in general I just don't like it...

My Valentine's box last year was supposed to be a gumball machine; it didn't turn out great but you could tell it was a gumball machine so that's a plus... This year my Valentine's box is 110% me... *drum roll*

It is the toilet we bought Emmett for when he is ready... so I am using it until he needs it.

I promise my Valentines are very nice though. See???

I really loved this printable and if you want to check the pdf out here it is!
Simply buy your preferred hershey nuggets, cut out the "labels", and attach them accordingly! They are really good btw.

Thanks for reading! Do you like Valentine's day? Always,

Recent Sewing Projects!!

Samme is a this moment injured, were not sure whats wrong yet; the chiropractor is coming out on Thursday to hopefully give us some answers! So anyway, once I know whats wrong I will post an update/full information asap!
Anywho... Samme now has had her horse blanket on for a little over a month now to keep her hair shorter so I don't pull it when I cinch her up to ride in the winter. When I got it it already had quite a few rips as it was a hand-me-down blanket. So, I took the plunge and got to patching it up..... by hand!!!! If y'all don't know I have TERRIBLE wrists so it was all done with a brace and lots of breaks!!! I have multiple stabs with the needle as horse blanket are thick, so are the jeans I used to patch the giant holes. And I was using fishing line to make it EXTRA durable. Here are some pictures of the process.

As you can see I was not exaggerating by any means! There was a lot of work to be done but it is now 100% done!!! YAYAYAYYA. But, my wrists were shot for the next 3 days...

Okay, now for the fun project!!! In May of this year I decided to make a ball gown from the civil war era. Quite the feat as I found out. So, after putting it off for most of the summer and beginning of the school year I finally sat down and did it. I had it all cut out and darted and pinned before June so the hard part for me was over. I can officially say the bodice (and for all non-sewers/me: the top half) and the bottom layer of skirt is done! I don't have any pictures yet but as soon as its done enough to try on I will have some pictures. Promise!
I hope you enjoyed the second... (wow, breaking records here) post of the day! Have an awesome day y'all!

Christmas Decorating!!

The day after Thanksgiving we are officially aloud to sing Christmas music!!! Now, of course, the rebel I am, I've already been singing them since the beginning of November when we started Christmas piano music!! So this last Saturday we went and got our tree with our family friends! After about 10 minutes of searching we found one but we decided to keep looking just in case and it turned out the first one was the one!!
And here are the pictures of our tree finished along with the rest of our house!!

favorite picture right here

Some of my Christmas music
So that is the decorations in our house! I will have a second post coming soon of my most recent projects!!! Hope you enjoyed this shorter post!

Washington D.C. Vacation

Our (Myself, Mom, Dad, Sara, and Emmett's) journey began on September 10, 2017; we left for Washington D.C.. We traveled for most of the afternoon and into the later hours of the night and stopped at Shipshewana, Indiana for the night. We left early the next morning and arrived at our rental condo in Falls Church, Virginia later that evening.

September 12, 2017: No one in my family has EVER used public transportation; so when we arrive at the train station and we finally get our metro passes... it's no wonder we almost get separated day one, an hour in! Yes, Sara and I get on the train and all the sudden, as mom is walking through the doors (WITH EMMETT) they close shut on her and are smashing her and Emmett! And you would think that when people on the train try pushing the doors open they'd open up like an elevator right? WRONG! Sara and I barely escaped with our lives off that train! Anyway, we ate lunch at an outrageously expensive food cart before our tour started at... *dunahnah* the WHITE HOUSE!!! Yes, we went to the White House; it was a very beautiful building and it was amazing to see it in person!! One of the rooms was so large you could fit four trampolines in it!! Later on we visited the CAPITOL for another tour. While we were there we got to see the VICE-PRESIDENT of the United States! I mean, who visits the capitol and actually gets to see someone who is SUPER important, who is 10 feet away from you?!?! The capitol had so many statues in it of important people, beautiful paintings, and carvings!

September 13, 2017: Today we went to Arlington Cemetery and we seen the burial place of the Kennedy family. I have never seen so many graves... everywhere you looked there were rows upon rows of graves. I am so thankful to those who gave their lives for our freedom and safety; I will never forget Arlington Cemetery. We also got to see the Tomb of the Unknown Soldier and the guard change. After, we walked all the way across the Potomac River to the Lincoln Memorial and the Vietnam Memorial Wall. We ate late lunch at Penn Grill. We wanted to visit the Iwo Jima memorial and walked there to discover they are renovating it and it's not open; so we went to the Netherlands Carillon because it was just up the road.

September 14, 2017: We toured the LIBRARY OF CONGRESS today!! It was so amazing, we couldn't actually go into the library because you have to be 16 and have a legitimate reason for being in there. For the remainder of they day was walked around the National Mall and stopped at the Washington Monument and the WWII memorial. We stayed until dark and seen the Lincoln Memorial, WWII memorial, and the Washington monument lit up at night.

September 15, 2017: Today we ate lunch at a farmers market and went to the National Museum of Natural History. It was very cool and fascinating!! We even got to go into a butterfly pavilion and have loads of butterflies land on us!

September 16, 2017: We began by going to the National Archives building and seeing the Deceleration of Independence, the Bill of Rights, and the U.S. Constitution. We then went to the National Museum of American History and visited the wars section and learned about our nations wars. Then, we got Ice Cream! Finally, we went to the Holocaust Museum. IF you don't know what the Holocaust Museum is it is a memorial on WWII and the people involved, it tells the background of Hitler and his rising in power, what was inflicted upon the people in the concentration camps and so much more. It was very hard to learn about this as this was such a terrible event. Terrible isn't even the right word to describe it...

September 17, 2017: Today we drove to New York City, we did not actually go into N.Y.C., we stayed on the New Jersey side of the river. We got to see Ellis Island and the Statue of Liberty!! It was really cool!!

September 18-19, 2017: We made our trek back home!

And that was my vacation to D.C. in a LARGE nutshell!!! I hope you enjoyed and have a great day!

Vacation Haul~

I was on VACATION!!! (With my family, of course) Yes, it seems I forgot to mention I was going to WASHINGTON D.C.; but this is not the time to tell this *tale*, for this is a mini haul of all the souvenirs I probably over paid for *coughs*. Here they are:

First off, a METRO CARD! Why is this of importance you may ask? Well, we took public transit the ENTIRE vacation! And Sara and I almost died.... but you will have to wait to hear the story *evil grins* mwahh... lol

I got a Washington D.C. zip-up hoodie from a sketchy street vendor... and they didn't even spell CAPITOL CORRECT!!!!!! But it's okay! For the price we paid it is okay :P lol

This is a quill pen calligraphy pen!!! I love calligraphy and I've wanted a quill pen for a while so I got one!!!! This is from the capitol of the UNITED STATES!!!

I got some Mousse for my WILD hair because somebody *ahem* didn't pack any.

I got some stationary... I couldn't help myself... I just couldn't! But it's so beautiful!! Btw it's from the  Target dollar section.

I got some of the friction color changing pencils and a beautiful butterfly pen from the National Museum of Natural History.

Then I got a poster of the Constitution from the National Archives!!!!

This is all the souvenirs I got! Expect a post with ALL the details of my vacation coming soon... *WARNING* it will be very long!!! Thanks for reading!
